Great Husband...Loving Father...Wonderful Son

David Thatcher Dilley, "The Man, The Myth, The Legend" aged 49, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. He was born on March 14, 1975, in Lansing, Michigan to Steven C. and Pamela A. Dilley. He was a graduate of East Lansing High School. He attended Arizona State University and graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Political Science. He was proud to serve his many clients with their financial service needs as a licensed securities and insurance salesperson with Retirement Wealth Strategies in Grand Rapids.

David is survived by his wife, Erin Cormican Dilley, and two sons, Colin and Cameron. Also surviving are his parents Steven and Pamela, stepmother, Joanne Dilley Bump, and brother, Brett Dilley. David married the love of his life Erin on May 9, 2009. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed biking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and hiking.

David was a great communicator who loved meeting and talking with many people. His warmth and caring for others will be sorely missed by his many friends. He was famous for his many humorous sayings like: "After Action Report," "The Seas were Rough that Day, My Friend," "That was a Whole Pile of not Fun," "That's Classified," and "This is the Part where I Hang Up Now."

A celebration of life honoring Dave will be held in the future.
