What’s the Point!?

Until they have meetings for it, I’ll keep obsessing over gear. So…let me address the group:

“Hello, my name is Dilley and I have a problem….I like gear.”

In order to prevent myself from continually and mindlessly buying gear I’ve created this page to begin a dialogue with myself, and potentially others, so as not to obsess over say a jacket, research the hell out of it and then buy it…and use it maybe five times, because I already have 100 jackets.

Now, I realize I sound like a lost cause, but I’m getting better. No really, I’m getting better! Of course all addicts say that, but there has been progress. The below points proving my progress shall be explained in forthcoming posts (which simply means at this time I haven’t written them yet as I’m currently obsessing over Mont-Bell’s heavyweight insulation jacket options).

I started this blog thinking this will provide an outlet and hopefully a community with which to discuss gear

So if you have an interest in gear for Hiking, Camping, Backpacking, Bikepacking, Mountain Biking, Ice Climbing and just general Adventure, then please keep reading, or feel free to make requests. I’ll continue to be addicted and therefore writing regardless.

Oh and maybe there’ll be some videos to come. Regardless of the format, things will be silly! They will also be well researched, and if not, that will be stated/admitted or apparent in the content itself.
