Well of course, being that it is such a small item and supremely useful I was bound to lose it. I think I had it clipped to something on my last backpacking trip. Then I packed up, didn’t notice it and flung it some where will smashing the tent into a bag or flapping it to get the water off.

Not to worry. I actually wanted the other LED option for the main light (Nichia instead of the Cree), which is what the reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/ recommended. It is a nicer sort of more relaxed light. I do miss the turbo blasting as bright, but my hope is that instead of 650 lumens, it being only 450 means better battery life in anything other than the low mode. We’ll see. So anyways I got the A8x this time instead of the A5x.

The A8x is supposed to have Amber/UV/Red side leds. It does, but the amber and UV come on at the same time only. Not sure if this is a defect. Also I think it’s clear but not GITD or glow in the dark? Regardless it looks a little fancier so that’s cool.

So I like it enough to buy another one, which I did, and I’m happy with it’s performance and functionality. The UV light allows me to be disgusted at my home (don’t use it in the bathroom for the love of christ!). I don’t have stacks of cash, but if I did!…I could verify them. I have to say that as long as I keep it plugged in and slowly move it around it has really cut down on my tanning costs!
